Kovar’s Folsom have been truly fantastic. Our two sons love going there and we love seeing them grow and learn. The leader and instructors are all genuinely good people who work hard to make it a fun environment while also instilling discipline and great work ethic into the students. We’ve gone hiking with the school, they routinely hold special events that allow us as parents to drop the kids off in a safe place and enjoy a night out, and they communicate so well with us (and the students). We appreciate them very much.

This dojo is great with kids and adults alike. My family has been training here for over a year and I am still amazed at how we learn something new every class. Shihan Sipes is the perfect balance of serious and playful while Ms.Burling is so patient and sweet; they definitely make an awesome team! It is a great club. Spent a month with my granddaughter. She attended twice a week and I observed her while there. I Was very impressed with the staff and teaching skills. The teachers greeted everyone, and ready to help the students improve their skills. The knowledge that was shared for handling every day occurances to help them think of positive ways to achieve their goals, was impressive.

We enrolled at Kovar’s as soon as my son turned 4 and we absolutely love it! My son’s attention span, concentration, and respect have all noticeably improved. Even his teachers at his preschool noticed a change in him after he started at Kovar’s. He loves coming to class and participating in all the fun extra activities that Kovar’s organizes. We have brought several friends to Buddy Day and recommend Kovar’s to all of our friends. Everyone at the Academy seems genuinely invested in my son’s development and success. We love it here and will be here for years to come!

My 4 year old son and 6 year old daughter attend classes at this location and absolutely love it! I like the combination of physical and soft skill lessons like listening that are taught and reinforced each session. I also like the convenience of being able to come on the days that work for my schedule vs having a set day. It makes it manageable with a busy work and travel schedule to keep the kids active.

Since my son has started kovars in January, there have been nothing but great things that have came from this experience.. more focus, more respect, more self discipline, and tools for self defense.. each staff member is kind and patient with the kids and know all the kids name on day one. It is a safe and clean space. 10/10 recommend for anybody whose child needs some extra help.

Shihan Sipes is a fantastic teacher. He sets boundaries and expectations and my son has grown leaps and bounds. We were recommend to this school by our martial arts teacher who is no longer teaching. I can't express enough how delighted I am with the experience. The instructors at this studio are exceptional (especially Jeramy!) they are highly skilled in martial arts and incredibly patient and nurturing with the kids. Great school!!!! I did my research along with advices from family who is in Martial Arts school of karate. The teachers and staff are extraordinary!!! My child loves going to this school 5-6 days a week. Very supported and understanding staff and teachers. I can say " to believed is to see if for yourself " Any reviews is not as good as seeing it yourself in person that is the FACT!!!
